About us

The Digital Economy is an autonomous non-profit organization established in 2017 to coordinate the implementation of the Russia Digital Economy Program. It serves as a flagship platform, enabling collaboration and engagement between the government, businesses, experts, and other stakeholders.

Our mission is to drive the development of the digital economy in the Russian Federation by supporting impactful, socially significant projects and initiatives. We foster effective collaboration between the business community, scientific and educational institutions, government bodies, and other key stakeholders.

In 2024, the Supervisory Board of the Digital Economy ANO established the Expert Council on Regulatory Policy. Comprising over 130 representatives from IT organizations, industry unions, associations, scientific and expert institutions, as well as consulting and legal firms, the council serves as an advisory body to the organization. Its primary purpose is to develop a unified position on regulatory issues related to information technology, telecommunications, and the data economy.

Specialized working groups have been formed at the Digital Economy ANO, bringing together representatives from federal ministries, services and agencies, competence centers, project implementation offices, and other relevant organizations involved in the implementation of the Russia Digital Economy Program.

Major projects and initiatives

Human Capital Development for the Digital Economy

The objectives include developing the human resources potential of the IT industry, developing interactions between businesses and universities, and enhancing the digital literacy of the population. Key Projects: «Urok Cifry» (Digital Lesson), «Сifrovoy Likbez» (Digital Literacy), «Ranking of the Universities in the Digital Economy» and others.

Regional Digital Development

Projects and initiatives aimed at accelerating the adoption of digital technologies in the regions of the Russian Federation are implemented through programs like «Cifrovaya Prokachka» (Digital Acceleration).

International Cooperation

International initiatives are aimed at interaction with partners from other countries to exchange best practices in the field of digital economy development and digital transformation of economic sectors.

High-Tech Project Office

Launched in 2023, this office coordinates roadmaps for high-tech sectors, managing over 250 participants and tracking more than 1,000 metrics.

Center for Technological Leadership 2030

Launched in 2023, the initiative aims to implement over 20 strategic projects driven by leading big tech companies and coordinated with key Russian ministries.

Research and analytics

The analytical division

specializes in conducting research and producing comprehensive reports on the development of the digital economy, industry trends, and practical applications of digital technologies. Key focus areas include evaluating advancements in artificial intelligence, data economy, digital infrastructure, workforce development for the digital economy, and studying international regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies.

the division provides stakeholders with critical insights into the evolving digital landscape. These data-driven analyses support informed decision-making, benefiting both business growth and societal progress.
